Data Engineer

We are seeking a Data Engineer with 3 to 6 years of experience to join our team at VOIS. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data platforms using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate data requirements into reliable, high‑performance data solutions while ensuring data quality, integrity, and operational stability.

What you’ll do

·  Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and supporting software systems.

·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyse, and understand data requirements.

·  Implement and manage ETL processes using tools such as Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

·  Work with GCP services including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL.

·  Write, optimise, and maintain SQL queries for efficient data extraction and transformation.

·  Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across data platforms and systems.

·  Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data workflow and system issues to maintain reliability.

Who you are

·  4–7 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.

·  Proficient in GCP services, including BigQuery, Dataproc, Data Fusion, and Cloud SQL.

·  Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Ab Initio or Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).

·  Strong knowledge of Unix and SQL, with exposure to Teradata environments.

·  Working knowledge of Python is an advantage.

·  Strong problem-solving capability with close attention to detail.

·  An effective communicator who collaborates well within diverse teams.
