Your key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices using Java 21 and Spring Boot.
- Build RESTful and event-driven services using Kafka and asynchronous messaging.
- Implement role-based authentication and authorization (e.g., OAuth2, JWT, RBAC concepts).
- Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) including schema design and query optimization.
- Package and deploy services on Kubernetes as part of a cloud-native platform.
- Contribute to system design and architecture discussions with senior engineers.
- Follow a solution-driven mindset — think beyond code and propose better technical approaches.
- Write high-quality unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
- Practice TDD and contribute to BDD scenarios.
- Assist in JVM tuning, performance debugging, and reliability improvements.
- Use Maven and Gradle for builds and dependency management.
Your skills and experience
- Strong proficiency in Java 21 and core Java concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot in microservices environments.
- Working knowledge of microservices architecture patterns (service discovery, config, resilience).
- Experience with Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, deployments, services, config maps).
- Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
- Good understanding of RBAC, OAuth2, JWT, or similar security mechanisms.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
- Good logical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and TDD practices.
- Familiarity with cloud-native concepts (containers, scaling, observability).
- Familiarity with CICD
