Ansible Engineer

In this role, you will: 

• Responsible for coding and maintaining Ansible code of Tooling modules/packages

• Manage and support Configuration management and enforcement of tooling in a large Ansible managed Linux estate

• Provide consultation on/assist customer code development

• Support Code promotions and perform Code reviews

• Provide L3 support, troubleshoot and resolve incidents

• Support new and existing Ansible tooling modules development, deployment and configuration

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: 

• Highly experienced in Automation technologies and their use in Server configuration – Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform

• Experience in Configuration Management highly desirable (eg Puppet)

• Experience in Linux/Unix administration and Service Management highly desirable

• Experience in development/support Python, Git, CI/CD pipelines  

• Experience of working with agile practices and toolsets including JIRA and Confluence

• Strong knowledge of SDLC and DEPL controls
