Architect - Release Management

Responsibilities

1. Support the Europe release management process, including planning, coordination, and execution of software releases.
2. Participate in landscape planning strategy and drive planned maintenances.
3. Collaborate with development teams to understand release requirements and dependencies.
4. Assist in maintaining the release calendar, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on release schedules.
5. Participate in release planning meetings and provide input on release scope and timelines.
6. Help in coordinating release activities, such as preparing release notes, creating deployment packages, and conducting pre-release testing.
7. Assist in managing release-related risks and issues, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing mitigation strategies.
8. Monitor release progress and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders.
9. Collaborate with the testing team to ensure appropriate test environments are available and that necessary tests are executed during release cycles.
10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the release management process by identifying opportunities for automation and streamlining.
11. Stay up to date with industry best practices and trends in release management.
12. Foster process simplification and automation mindset.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. 3+ years release management or project management.
3. Has experience in core SAP components, landscape & transport management (SAP BASIS) or SAP functional.
4. Strong understanding of software development life cycles, Change management, ITIL, TMS, SAP SOLMAN CHARM and release management processes.
5. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
7. Attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
8. Self-motivated and proactive, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):

1. Previous experience or internship in release management or software development.
2. Experience on reporting tools like power BI.
3. Basis understanding of testing cycles.
4. Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
5. Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools.
   1. Relevant certifications in release management or related fields.
