Assistant Manager - Cloud Operations Engineer

Role Specific Responsibilities 

• Develop, support, and maintain applications and technology solutions. 

• Strong automation skillsets using automation tools such as Terraforms 

• Ensure all development efforts meet or exceed client expectations. Applications should meet requirements of scope, functionality, and time and adhere to all defined and agreed upon standards. 

• Use team project management methodology and processes to develop and test product features. Standard team development and testing tools will be used. 

• Worked on any of the agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, XP), participate in daily SCRUM calls and provide task updates. 

• Develop supporting and other materials, as required. 

• Develop and maintain internal project documentation and knowledge base 

• Encourage collaborative efforts and camaraderie with on-shore and off-shore team members. 

• Demonstrate a strong working understanding of the best industry standards in software development and version controlling. 

• Assist with project team duties as required from user story creation to development to deployment to application maintenance 

• Well versed with ITIL best practices and ServiceNow administration and understanding around API’s integrations with ServiceNow Catalogue forms 

• Deploying applications on Microservices ,docker and Kubernetes. 

• Experience in Creating interactive chat bots for automating solutions in remediating users cloud request/incidents 

• Use AI and ML models/tools to automate complex and repetitive tasks, such as Cloud resources creation, provisioning and decommissioning 

• Understanding on API build and integration with ServiceNow workflows 

• Decent understanding of handling cloud guardrails related requests and incidents 

• Strong knowledge in Cloud Networking concepts such as VPC/VNET’s to an extent of identifying and troubleshooting any cloud networks related incidents/request across all the 3 cloud platforms (Azure, AWS & GCP) 

• Should be flexible working in night shifts covering 24*7*365 days 

• Ability to represent team over major incident calls and able to isolate issues and provide possible in-scope resolution 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems or relevant experience and accomplishments 

• 6-8 years of experience in the IT field 

• Minimum of 2+ years direct, hands-on experience with any of the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools like Jenkins/Azure Devops 

• 2+ years direct, hands-on experience with automated cloud provisioning and management on any of the Cloud Platforms – Azure, AWS, GCP (Must Have)- MultiCloud platform working experience 

• Experience in writing python, YAML, ruby and shell scripts to automate the deployment and scheduling 

• Demonstrated proficiency with one or more scripting/programming languages relevant to Devops – PowerShell, Python, BASH, and similar 

• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately with business and technical teams 

• Good understanding of the principles and best practices of Software Configuration Management (SCM) in Agile, scrum
