Job Description
What will you do in this role:
- Manage the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance, and effective use of specific technology services.
- Follow standard approaches and established design patterns to create new designs for simple systems or system components. Apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
- Carry out agreed system software development and maintenance tasks by updating the product design to automate routine system administration tasks using standard tools and software development practices.
- Contribute to adoption of existing Technology Engineering community practices within the products where you work.
- Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and the Product manager.
- Participate in Product planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with Product goals.
What should you have:
- Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience working with network and system administration for Linux/Unix and Windows servers.
- Enterprise DNS/DHCP and IPAM (DDI) architecture, management, support and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with Infoblox DDI products preferred
- Experience with traditional disaster recovery & data backup solutions (Commvault, Acronis).
- Cloud and Virtualization Platforms: Proficiency in virtualization (Vmware, Hyper-V, Nutanix) and familiarity with cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) platforms.
- Networking: Understanding of virtual networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Operating Systems: Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Scripting and Automation: Skills in scripting languages like Bash or PowerShell and familiarity with infrastructure automation and management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- DevOps practices: Familiarity with Git, infrastructure as code (IaC), observability, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Security Best Practices: Familiarity with IT security practices and compliance.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Product and customer-centric approach.
- Experience with other programming languages (Python, Java) is a nice to have.
