Job Description
- Testing ownership: Define test strategy, planning, and create test artefacts (test plans, scenarios, scripts)
- Execution excellence: Lead and actively drive testing across all lifecycle phases with high quality and timeliness
- Automation focus: Design, enhance, and scale automation frameworks; evaluate automation opportunities
- Technical contribution: Perform deep-dives into test scenarios, data, and frameworks; leverage SQL and CI/CD tools (GIT)
- Collaboration: Work closely with application owners, dev teams, and ops for test environments, data, and issue resolution
- Governance & reporting: Drive daily test calls, track progress, and communicate status/issues to stakeholders
- Quality assurance: Ensure releases meet business requirements and quality standards
- Process improvement: Follow and enhance testing standards, best practices, and agile methodologies
Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:
- Strong automation testing expertise (hands-on) : Selenium, Java, BDD , Playwright , Typescript
- Experience in test management, strategy, and large-scale program delivery
- Proficiency in SQL, Agile, CI/CD (GIT), and testing tools (JIRA, Confluence)
- Ability to handle multiple projects independently
- Good banking/domain awareness (WIM, onboarding, credit) preferred

Purpose of the role
To design, develop, and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance, and user experience, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects, and continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, to ensure software quality and reliability.
Accountabilities
- Development and implementation of comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Creation and execution automated test scripts, leveraging testing frameworks and tools to facilitate early detection of defects and quality issues. .
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to the development of acceptance criteria, ensuring a thorough understanding of the software being tested.
- Root cause analysis for identified defects, working closely with developers to provide detailed information and support defect resolution.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
