Azure DevOps Engineer

Roles 

• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and delivery pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers to streamline builds and deployments.
• Drive adoption of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) practices
• Document and maintain configuration processes and policies.
• Keep the CMDB updated through automation and audits.
• Manage environment configuration using automation tools.
• Manage event detection, filtering, and escalation processes.
• Troubleshoot production deployment issues and analyze performance metrics.
• Maintain monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Qradar) and build dashboards for operational insights.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate operations and system management.
• Utilize platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, or similar for infrastructure automation
• Support workflow automation using tools like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, or Microsoft Power Automate.
• Define, test, and execute operations procedures.
• Run jobs, maintenance routines, and pre-approved changes.
• Provide support for day-to-day technical operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of IT experience, including system design, deployment, and operations.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure DevOps engineering.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Azure required; AWS exposure is a plus).
• Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, Git).
• Strong knowledge of virtualization and containerization (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Release & Configuration Management).
• Working knowledge of Windows/Linux system administration.
• Experience with observability tools and automated testing frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Azure certifications (Fundamentals, Administrator Associate, DevOps Engineer Expert).
• Knowledge of Jira, Postman, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with distributed services (SOAP, REST).
• Practical experience with IIS, Apache Tomcat, and SQL databases.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts (Firewalls, VPN, DNS, load balancing, TCP/IP).
• Experience with process re-engineering and improving operational efficiency.
