Cloud DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and Architect Solutions: Lead the design and architecture of GCP and AWS based solutions, including infrastructure, networking, security, and data management, ensuring they meet performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness requirements.
• Cloud Migration and Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute cloud migration strategies, integrating on-premises systems and applications with GCP and AWS services.
• Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and best practices, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Perform security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend remediation actions.
• Infrastructure Automation: Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and other DevOps practices.
• Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud resources to maximize cost efficiency while maintaining performance and reliability.
• Performance and Monitoring: Set up performance monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring optimal system performance and availability.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and developers to understand requirements, articulate architectural decisions, and ensure successful project delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in designing & implementing a complex solution in AWS or GCP.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as AWS/GCP Architect, leading the design and implementation of complex cloud-based solutions on Cloud Platforms.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes around setting up clusters and deployment patterns.
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and experience implementing security controls on GCP.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with cloud monitoring and logging tools for performance optimization and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant AWS/GCP certifications are highly desirable.
