Cloud Lead

What you’ll do:

• Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers in the development and deployment of scalable cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and manage priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and implement cloud-based solutions that align with business requirements.
• Design and implement cloud architecture in line with best practices and organizational goals.
• Develop and enforce best practices, standards, and policies for cloud infrastructure and services.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cloud team and ensure timely resolution of any technical issues or escalations.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and mentor team members for their professional growth.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cloud infrastructure, security, and performance.
• Oversee the integration of cloud systems with existing on-premises infrastructure.
• Ensure efficient utilization of cloud resources and identify opportunities to optimize costs.
• Define and enforce security policies and controls to protect data and systems.
• Monitor and manage the performance, availability, and scalability of cloud-based services.
• Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute cloud adaptation strategies.

What to Have for this position.

Must have Skills & Good to have Skills:

• Deep understanding of cloud and cloud native principles and practices
• Proven experience leading and managing a team of cloud engineers.
• 5+ years of experience working on development and production infrastructure.
• 5+ years of experience with complex, high-performance distributed systems in production.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins and Git.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of cloud engineers.
• Experience designing and implementing highly available and scalable cloud architectures.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools, such as Azure Bicep /Terraform/ CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and compliance in the cloud
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Certifications in cloud technologies, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
