Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of cloud engineers in the development and deployment of scalable cloud solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and manage priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, plan, and implement cloud-based solutions that align with business requirements.
- Collaborate with cloud architecture team to adapt and implement the defined best practices.
- Develop and enforce best practices, standards, and policies for cloud operations and services.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the cloud team and ensure timely resolution of any technical issues or escalations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and mentor team members for their professional growth.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cloud infrastructure, security, and performance.
- Oversee the integration of cloud systems with existing on-premises infrastructure.
- Ensure efficient utilization of cloud resources and identify opportunities to optimize costs.
- Define and enforce security policies and controls to protect data and systems.
- Monitor and manage the performance, availability, and scalability of cloud-based services.
- Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute cloud adaptation strategies.
Required Skills
- ITIL/ITSM certified with familiarity of cloud technologies Azure and AWS.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of cloud engineers.
- 5+ years of experience working on development and production infrastructure.
- 5+ years of experience with complex, high-performance distributed systems in production.
- Strong knowledge in cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Cloud Operations, with Familiarity of cloud architecture, infrastructure, and services.
- Understanding of scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Golang.
- Good understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar.
- Understanding of infrastructure as code tools, such as Azure Bicep /Terraform/ CloudFormation.
- Understanding of networking, security, and compliance in the cloud
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Certifications in cloud technologies, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect, are a plus.
