Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide administration of cloud hosted Clinisys solutions including but not limited to:
User administration and security
Routine maintenance
Scheduled backups and restorations; reviews back up logs
Monitoring of production, and non-production client environments
Liaising with an external Managed Services Provider on support cases to ensure timely resolution of client issues
- Supervise routine patching exercises coordinating SRE team resources and communications to the client, support and leadership teams
- Attend Infrastructure Architecture project meetings to provide input on SRE team requirements and expectations for new hosted solutions
- Serve as Tier 2 support to client support on issues raised by Clinisys clients using hosted environments
Support internal IT and development teams use of cloud services
Drive development and adoption of automation to monitor and orchestrate client environments
Drive the development and implementation of automated remediation for common issues
Develop and maintain SRE team training materials
Provide training to other SRE team members and provide supervision of the team during management absence
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 4 years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services including Virtual Machines, IAM, SQL Server, CosmosDB, Application Gateways, DNS, Entra ID, Application Insights, Azure Monitor and others.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services including VPCs, EC2, EBS, RDS, IAM, Systems Manager, Managed Directory, CloudWatch, CloudTrail and CloudFormation or other virtualization technologies preferred
- 3 years of experience in supporting and maintaining Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
- Proven experience in the support and administration of complex IT projects.
- Drive to review and improve processes, work instructions and training through innovation and automation.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Azure DevOps preferred but not essential
- Ability to remain calm and focused during support incidents.
- Ability to work as an individual as well as part of a global team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, Business or other relevant combination of training and education.
- Requires a minimum of three years of related experience.
