CloudOps Engineer

What You'll Do
 

• Support continuous integration and delivery pipeline surrounding Cloud Operations.
• Drive technical innovation and efficiency in cloud infrastructure operations.
• React to and remedy system alerts.
• Facilitate after-hours deployment efforts as needed.
• Support development and QA teams in their deployment efforts as needed.
• Become thoroughly familiar with all compliance and security requirements, adhering to all policy and standards, adapting to CI/CD platform as needed.
• Ensure pipeline platforms are redundant and backed up as needed.
• Communicate effectively and appropriately, deferring to management on communicating with external teams as needed
• Attend departmental, project and general meetings and effectively represent status as appropriate.
• Participate in company provided training and perform independent training and research as appropriate.
• Install system patches and application updates as directed.
• Assist in other production support efforts as needed.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation for providing after-hours support.
• Where possible, design and/or automate yourself out of any of the above duties.
• Have an appetite to work on different shifts (Asia and US Hours)
• Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring
 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or IT related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience with server infrastructure management in either Windows or Linux
• Experience with Postgres and Tomcat strongly desired
• Experience with AWS skills
• Persistent desire to innovate, automate, and continually improve processes
• Experience implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment Automation
• Hands-on working knowledge and experience is required in:
• Hands on working in Linux Operating systems along with knowledge on Containerization technologies
• Good understanding on the AWS Services EC2, DynamoDB, AWS Code Commit, Cloud Formation, AWS RDS (PostgreSQL) etc.
• Good understanding of DevOps approaches and implementation of DevOps tools will be a bonus.
