Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute the migration of users from Teradata to Snowflake/Databricks
- Analyze existing user roles, access patterns, and usage metrics in the legacy environment
- Design and implement equivalent user roles, permissions, and access controls in the target cloud platform
- Develop and convert ETL/ELT pipelines to support data migration and validation
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained during migration
- Create documentation and provide training/support to end users post-migration
- Monitor and troubleshoot migration issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
- Use AI tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate code development
Leverage M365 Copilot and chat-based AI tools for meeting summarization, documentation, and debugging - Use GenAI to generate test data, validate migration logic, and automate test case creation
- Document migration processes and create AI-assisted knowledge artifacts for future reuse
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering
- 2+ years of extensive experience on Snowflake, Databricks
- Hands-on experience on Github Copilot, AI tools
