Job Description
DevOps & CI/CD Architecture
- Define and own the end-to-end DevOps architecture blueprint for cloud-native and AI-driven platforms.
- Design scalable, secure, and resilient CI/CD frameworks using Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions for multi-team and multi-product environments.
- Establish enterprise-grade pipeline standards for build, test, security scanning, artifact management, and deployments.
- Embed security-by-design principles including SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and compliance checks across pipelines.
- Define deployment strategies (rolling, blue-green, canary) to reduce risk, downtime, and mean time to recovery.
- Drive standardization of pipeline templates, reusable components, and automation libraries across teams.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud Architecture
- Architect and govern Infrastructure as Code using Terraform for Azure-based platforms.
- Design modular, reusable, and compliant IaC frameworks aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Define environment strategies (dev/test/stage/prod) with automated provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Partner with security and cloud teams to ensure adherence to cloud governance, cost optimization, and resilience standards.
GitOps Strategy & Implementation
- Define and institutionalize GitOps reference architecture for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Establish Git-based workflows for Kubernetes, IaC, and platform configurations.
- Evaluate and implement GitOps tooling (ArgoCD, Flux) at scale.
- Drive governance models ensuring all infrastructure and configuration changes flow through pull-request–based approvals.
Developer Platform & Service Management
- Architect and lead implementation of a Developer Platform / Internal Developer Portal.
- Define service ownership models, golden paths, and self-service capabilities for development teams.
- Integrate the developer portal with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, observability, and documentation systems.
- Establish role-based access control, authentication, and authorization for platform services.
- Enable service lifecycle visibility—from creation to deployment, operation, and decommissioning.
Workflow Automation & Platform Engineering
- Design automated workflows that unify CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, and Developer Portal capabilities.
- Enable self-service provisioning for services, environments, and infrastructure.
- Drive consistency, reliability, and velocity through platform engineering best practices.
- Identify opportunities to reduce toil and operational overhead through intelligent automation.
Observability, Monitoring & Reporting
- Architect end-to-end observability including metrics, logs, traces, and deployment insights.
- Integrate monitoring and reporting into the developer portal for real-time visibility.
- Enable tracking of deployment history, performance KPIs, SLOs, and reliability metrics.
- Partner with operations teams to improve incident response and platform availability.
Technical Leadership, Education & Adoption
- Act as a technical authority and mentor for DevOps and platform engineering teams.
- Educate teams on CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, DevSecOps, and developer platform practices.
- Drive adoption through reference architectures, best practices, and enablement sessions.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, automation-first mindset, and continuous improvement.
