Job Description
As an Eng 3, AWS Cloud/DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Assist in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-efficient solutions.
- Support Kubernetes clusters using Helm for deploying and scaling containerized applications.
- Utilize AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) to build cloud-native applications and services.
- Contribute to the development and management of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Help automate and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and AWS CodePipeline to support fast, reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with other teams to manage on-premises environments, ensuring integration with cloud infrastructure.
- Assist in managing cloud costs, optimizing resource usage, and helping meet budget goals.
- Support and maintain Linux-based environments, ensuring security, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in both cloud and on-premises environments.
- Assist with security, compliance, and operational integrity of cloud-based and on-premises systems.
- Promote DevOps best practices by automating workflows, enhancing monitoring, and integrating version control systems.
Requirements:
Key requirements and experience include:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in AWS cloud services, DevOps, and infrastructure management.
- Experience with AWS Cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, etc.), with knowledge of basic cloud optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes administration (deployment, scaling, Helm) for managing containerized applications.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation for creating and managing Infrastructure as Code.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like Jenkins and AWS CodePipeline.
- Solid understanding of Linux-based environments, with basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Ability to support on-premises environments and integrate with cloud solutions.
- Basic understanding of cloud cost management tools and strategies to optimize resource usage.
- Awareness of security practices for cloud and on-premises systems, including IAM, VPC, and basic encryption techniques.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, etc.).
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
