Job Description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to own and evolve the infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows for our platform — a Python/TypeScript monorepo powering internal tools and services. You will be the go-to person for keeping builds green, deployments smooth, and environments healthy across development, staging, and production.
Responsibilities
• CI/CD Pipeline Ownership — Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot Jenkins declarative pipelines for build, test, and deploy stages across dev/staging/production environments.
• Container & Image Management — Build, optimize, and secure container images using Podman/Docker, multi-stage Containerfiles, and the build system. Manage image lifecycle in the container registry.
• Kubernetes / OpenShift Operations — Deploy and manage workloads on OpenShift Container Platform using Kustomize overlays, ImageStreams, Deployments, StatefulSets, and Services.
• Infrastructure Automation — Write and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for provisioning, bootstrapping, and ongoing configuration of application and monitoring infrastructure.
• Secrets Management — Administer secrets lifecycle, credential rotation, and CI/CD credential configuration for secure secret injection across environments.
• Monitoring & Observability — Configure and maintain monitoring checks, log aggregation, and alerting for deployment and incident notifications.
• Build System Maintenance — Support and evolve the Pants 2.x monorepo build configuration, including Python resolves, Docker backends, and dependency caching strategies.
• Developer Experience — Keep local development, pre-commit hooks, and test infrastructure running smoothly so engineers can ship with confidence.
• Security & Compliance — Ensure container images use approved base images, dependencies are scanned, and secrets never leak into logs or source control.
• Database Operations Support — Assist with database refresh tooling, migration scripts (Alembic), and db-sync Jenkins jobs.
