· Design, build and evolve AWS infrastructure across services such as:

o EC2, Auto Scaling Groups, S3, RDS

o OpenSearch, Redshift, Athena

o Kinesis, DataSync

o Security aspect for all the services

o IAM, VPC, CloudWatch

· Improve scalability, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.

· Proactively identify architectural improvements and implement them.

· Take ownership of environment design across dev, staging and production.

· Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform.

· Create reusable, modular infrastructure definitions.

· Eliminate manual provisioning and reduce configuration drift.

· Multi-environment and security best practices.

· Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Code Build).

· Integrate testing, security scanning, and quality gates into pipelines.

· Implement zero-downtime deployment strategies where applicable.

· Continuously improve deployment speed, reliability and developer experience.

We expect ownership of pipeline design decisions, not just maintenance of existing jobs.

· Automate repetitive operational tasks.

· Integrate AWS services programmatically where required.

· Improve observability and monitoring practices.

· Write SOP documents for all alerts

· Work closely with developers in sprint cycles.

· Participate in stand-ups, planning sessions, and design discussions.

· Partner with backend engineers on release strategy and environment improvements.

· Demonstrate shared accountability for system stability and delivery.

This role requires someone who collaborates proactively, not someone who works in isolation.
