Python & PostgreSQL Developer

• 4-8 years of hands-on software/data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python (and a framework such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL — query optimization, indexing, stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, specifically:
  Amazon Redshift (data warehousing, query/performance tuning)
  Amazon S3 (storage, data lake patterns)
  AWS Lambda (serverless, event-driven processing)
  Pipeline orchestration experience with AWS Step Functions and/or Apache Airflow.
  Experience with data cataloging / metadata management using DataHub (or similar).
  Solid understanding of relational data modeling and ETL/ELT design.
  Proficiency with Git and CI/CD workflows.

Job responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and data applications using Python.
• Write and optimize complex SQL across PostgreSQL and Amazon Redshift (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Build, orchestrate, and monitor data pipelines using Step Functions and/or Apache Airflow.
• Develop serverless components and event-driven workflows using AWS Lambda.
• Manage data storage, ingestion,aq and lifecycle on Amazon S3.
• Design and maintain data models, schemas, and indexing strategies for performance and scalability.
• Integrate and maintain metadata/data-catalog workflows via DataHub.
• Collaborate on and maintain integrations with existing C# components within the project.
• Ensure data integrity, security, observability, and cost efficiency across the pipeline.
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD, and cross-functional collaboration (product, QA, DevOps).
