DevOps GCP

In this role, you will:

•    Create and improve patterns for deploying infrastructure as code to support components built with microservices architectures
•    Ownership of complex infrastructural patterns including networking, Kubernetes and security components
•    Ownership of application release pipelines
•    Ensure all Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments meet bank standards for IT security
•    Work with Cloud Architects to design and implement patterns for cloud networking, IT security assurance, service deployment and service management that comply with strict bank and regulatory standards
•    Troubleshoot issues with infrastructure and service deployments and use learnings to improve and strengthen cloud infrastructure
•    Implement automation tools and frameworks
•    Conduct detailed reviews of infrastructure as code elements and communicate feedback to cross-functional teams to ensure consistent quality of delivery across multiple solution components
•    Collaborate within the programme and across the organisation to improve engineering tools, systems, procedures and data security
•    Seek ways to provide automation that helps assure security, performance and availability of cloud infrastructure and services
•    Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT or engineering discipline
• 2+ years as a DevOps Engineer
• Cloud (detailed knowledge of at least one cloud platform)
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) strongly preferred
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) acceptable
• Certification preferred but not essentia
•  Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools such as:
• Terraform/Terragrunt,Packer,Terratest / Inspec,Chef,Kubernetes (Google Kubernetes Engine [GKE] experience preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of code repositories (e.g. Github, Bitbucket)
• Jenkins (detailed knowledge required)
• Build and Deploy Pipelines - Installation and Configuratio
• Code and Image Scanning Tools (e.g. Sonarqube, Checkmarx, Nexus IQ)
• Docker,Secrets Management,Access Credentials,Signed Security Certificates,Vaults
• Working knowledge of relational and NoSQL database systems
• Understanding of software test automation tools and systems (e.g. Cucumber, Selenium, Serenity dashboards)
• Linux (beyond basic admin level)Bash scripting AndAnsible (Core and Tower)
