DevOps/Senior Consultant Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment using Ansible.
• Create, manage, and optimize Docker containers and images for our applications.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Kubernetes, with a strong focus on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Configure and manage Nginx as a reverse proxy, load balancer, and web server.
• Oversee certificate management, including the issuance, renewal, and deployment of SSL/TLS certificates to ensure secure communication.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) to ensure consistent and repeatable environments.
• Collaborate with software developers to ensure that applications are designed for scalability and reliability.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the availability of our production environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins.
• Proficiency in automation and configuration management using Ansible.
• In-depth knowledge of containerization with Docker.
• Extensive experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes and GKE.
• Solid experience with Nginx configuration and administration.
• Demonstrable experience with SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with other IaC tools like Terraform.
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• GCP or Kubernetes certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

Non-Technical:

• Strong communication skills – experience of interfacing with IT Lead/Delivery Manager, Architect, business Product Owners and IT offshore teams.
