Development Engineer Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Takes end-to-end ownership of feature delivery — from requirements analysis through to production deployment and post-release stabilisation
• Manages complexity and ambiguity independently, breaking down large regulatory or business requirements into deliverable technical solutions
• Drives release activities, including Change Requests, production validation, and go-live support
• Consistently delivers time-critical regulatory and business commitments within agreed timelines and quality standards
• Problem solving and critical thinking
• Understands and applies bank-wide compliance, risk, and governance frameworks in technical delivery
• Builds and shares reusable libraries, services, and frameworks that accelerate delivery across multiple teams
• Platform Modernisation & Innovation
• Proactively identifies and implements performance optimisation and scalability improvements
  • Communicates technical risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
