Your key responsibilities
- Build up technical subject matter expertise for a suite of applications within Deutsche Bank including business flows, the application architecture, and the hardware configuration
- Resolve Incidents and service requests submitted by the application end users & escalate any issues that cannot be resolved to L3.
- Conduct real time monitoring to ensure application Service Level Agreements are achieved and maximum application availability & building the monitoring capabilities.
- Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with the stakeholders in business, development, infrastructure and third-party systems / data providers and vendors
- Conduct post-mortems of incidents and drive relevant feedback into Incident, Problem and Change management programs
- Actively pursue service improvements and efficiencies in the applications / processes that lead to increased production stability and customer satisfaction, respectively
Your skills and experience
Strong understanding of technologies as under:
- Strong proficiency in Python or Java
- Experience with GCP cloud platforms
- Good understanding of GCP GKE, Secret Management, Big Query , Airflow monitoring & Data Proc
- Exposure to building monitoring dashboard on reporting tool such as Looker or Tableau
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Load Balancing).
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Supports the production platform, carrying out monitoring and remediation of issues and specific maintenance tasks as per the run book procedure.
- Works with Delivery Services eg (Fabric, Infrastructure) on improvements to service availability and resilience
- Continual Service Improvement activities
- Disaster Recovery Planning & Testing
- Second line of defence for Incident Management - gathering data for investigation and identification of root cause through to resolution
- Defines and creates Run Book entries and knowledge articles based on incidents experienced in the production environment
- Engage in the development and implementation of the tools and best practices needed to provide effective support
- Ensure Capacity Management and Knowledge Management are utilized to aid proactive and reactive support
- Strong analytical skills.
