Key Responsibilities:
- Grasp the data warehousing process and framework to ensure ETL processes align with business requirements.
- Demonstrate expertise in SQL and Teradata, with strong scripting capabilities to manage and manipulate data effectively.
- Apply analytical skills to interpret data patterns, identify discrepancies, and ensure data integrity throughout the ETL process.
- Leverage understanding of the logistics industry to tailor testing strategies that reflect real-world scenarios and challenges.
- Employ a meticulous approach to testing, with a focus on identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact operations.

- Lead discussions with stakeholders, facilitating effective communication between technical teams and business partners.

- Evaluate technical and business risks, communicating potential impacts to the management team effectively.
- Possess specialist-level knowledge of the SDLC, ensuring testing phases are integrated and efficient.
- Experience with BI tools like QlikSense and Power BI is advantageous, enriching data visualization and reporting capabilities.
- Assess Solution Design Documents for testing requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness before test execution.
- Design comprehensive test cases and execute them rigorously to validate ETL processes and data integrity.
- Work with external teams and vendors to align testing objectives and ensure seamless execution of test plans.
- Produce detailed test reports and support business teams during User Acceptance Testing to ensure successful implementation.
- Collaborate with business partners to enhance processes and identify best practices.
- Assist staff in resolving complex issues, maintain thorough process documentation, and ensure quality control.
Educational qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is essential.
Work Experience:
- Candidates should possess a minimum of 4 to 6 years of hands-on ETL testing experience, ideally within a data warehousing environment. This experience should demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and ETL practices.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting is mandatory, with a strong track record of crafting complex queries to validate data transformations, load processes, and ensure data integrity.
- Prior work experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies is required, highlighting adaptability, collaboration, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced development settings.
- Expert-level familiarity with test management tools like HP QC - ALM and Jira is expected, enabling efficient management, documentation, and tracking of all testing activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications related to SQL, data warehousing, ETL tools, and methodologies will be considered an advantage, indicating a dedication to ongoing professional development in the field.
- Experience within the logistics or a closely related industry is beneficial, providing valuable context that can enhance the relevance and effectiveness of testing strategies.
