What will your job look like?
You will
- Partner with product and engineering teams to analyze cloud consumption patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities across AWS and other cloud platforms.
- Implement and maintain FinOps best practices, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation models.
- Develop and automate dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into cloud spend, usage trends, and optimization opportunities.
- Lead initiatives to right-size resources, eliminate unused assets, and improve purchasing strategies (e.g., Reserved Instances, Savings Plans).
- Collaborate with DevOps and CloudOps teams to embed cost-awareness into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure provisioning.
- Provide guidance and training to development teams on cloud cost management tools and techniques.
- Work with finance and procurement teams to align cloud spend with business objectives and ensure accurate chargebacks/showbacks.
- Continuously evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance cloud cost governance and operational efficiency
- Work closely with Business and Financial stakeholders to share updates, reports, feedback, and operational processes.
All you need is...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of total experience, with at least 2+ years in FinOps and Cloud Financial Management.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cost management tools (e.g., Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, CUR, Compute Optimizer).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl) and SQL for data analysis and automation.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data manipulation.
- Intermediate PowerPoint skills for operational and financial presentations.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure components and performance metrics in production environments.
- Experience with development and automation in cloud-native environments.
- Bonus: Experience with hybrid cloud setups and AI-led Cloud FinOps.
