Global Solution Engineer - DevOps

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Actively contribute to professional and reliable technology delivery for business systems, platforms, and processes for business domain/function(s) in scope
• Work with senior stakeholders internally and externally to manage the expectations and delivery.
• Supporting Project Managers in developing solution roadmaps, incl. evaluating change & run decisions
• Accountable to plan, define, and develop high-level designs for solutions
• Actively contribute to on time, within budget, compliant, secure, and quality delivery of portfolio/ respective engagements
• Effectively engage with the chosen SI Partner(s) and collaboratively strive to deliver business value
• Work with Enterprise Architects to align solution architecture with enterprise architecture standards
• Contribute enterprise grade and innovative Solution Design & Architecture with increasing re-usability, configurability and scalability
• Ensure top class and pioneering engineering delivery, code management, automation and strive for highest efficiency
• Ensure alignment to Security & Compliance policies and procedures as well as with other Sandoz guidelines and standards
• Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing deploying new solutions and services
• Integrate automated testing frameworks, static code analysis, and unit testing tools.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize for speed and reliability.
• Implement security practices, including vulnerability scanning and artifact integrity verification, in the pipeline
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve team efficiency
• Optimize cloud resources and implementing cost-effective solutions
• Establish and maintain documentation for CI/CD pipelines and ensure adherence to DevOps best practices.
• Work with Supplier Management to evaluate options for solution
• Work with the vendor teams on daily basis to resolve any queries and work on Incident, service management.
• Work with business to understand the requirements for the current DevOps setup and providing a feasible solution.
• Work with development teams to ensure seamless integration of new features into the pipelines and provide support for debugging build failures.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Fluent in written and spoken English
• At least 6 years of experience in an IT organization, including in a role as a solution engineer
• Experience with change management through process engineering and/or participating in large-scale IT change / transformation programs
• Experienced in guiding and developing teams across wide geographies & in collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to align a strategic IT service portfolio with business needs.
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills to present features and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Must have technical skills:

• Proficiency in anyone of CI/CD tools like Jenkins
• Must have prior experience of Key foundational services in cloud platforms like AWS.
• Good to have Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar for automation tasks.
• Testing Tools: Familiarity with automated testing frameworks
• Version Control Systems: Advanced knowledge of Bitbucket workflows, including branching, merging, and tagging strategies.
• Operating Systems: Experience with Linux and Windows environments
• Should be well versed in Jira/Confluence.
• Document management systems, DevOps, ITIL Processes
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design
