Job Description
- Architectural Transition: Lead the migration from legacy VM-based deployments to a containerized environment (Kubernetes).
- Upgrade Execution: Perform "Out-of-Place" upgrades.
- Infrastructure Automation: Utilize Pega Helm Charts to automate the deployment of web, batch, and stream tiers in the new environment.
- Database Optimization: Collaborate with DBAs to manage schema changes, specifically focusing on the Split-Schema architecture.
- Connectivity & Security: Reconfigure and validate Load Balancers, SSL/TLS certificates, and integration endpoints (REST/SOAP/Kafka) for the new version.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize JVM settings, Hazelcast clustering, and Kafka/Stream service configurations.
- Zero-Downtime Planning: Design and execute a deployment strategy to minimize business impact during the cutover.
