Job Description
To be successful as a Infrastructure Technician you should have experience with:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organisational and problem solving skills.
- Experienced in the use of standard desktop tools to assist with data extraction and manipulation and reporting (e.g. Excel, Tableau, MS Access, SQL Server Management Studio).
- Basic awareness of the core technologies that underpin our services– Unix, Windows, Middleware, databases etc. and the role they play.
- Awareness of ITIL disciplines and Configuration Management in particular.
- Good understanding of risk and cost as it applies to technology.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
- Understanding/experience of some or all of the following:
- ServiceFirst, the data model for the Service hierarchy.
- SQL, writing and maintaining SQL and extract of data from SPDW.
- Tableau.
- Sharepoint.
