Infrastructure Technician

To be successful as a Infrastructure Technician you should have experience with:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good organisational and problem solving skills.
• Experienced in the use of standard desktop tools to assist with data extraction and manipulation and reporting (e.g. Excel, Tableau, MS Access, SQL Server Management Studio).
• Basic awareness of the core technologies that underpin our services– Unix, Windows, Middleware, databases etc. and the role they play.
• Awareness of ITIL disciplines and Configuration Management in particular.
• Good understanding of risk and cost as it applies to technology.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Understanding/experience of some or all of the following:
• ServiceFirst, the data model for the Service hierarchy.
• SQL, writing and maintaining SQL and extract of data from SPDW.
• Tableau.
• Sharepoint.
