Java Full Stack/DevOps/Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Work with a team of engineers and collaborate with colleagues globally
• Responsible for the software development lifecycle of the changes you implement
• Remediation – working to tight deadlines to turn around small incremental fixes quickly and safely
• Maintain code base (defects, vulnerabilities, enhancements, etc)
• Assist Operations with remediation efforts through tooling and building upon existing capabilities
• Liaise with Asset Class IT teams to improve the quality of the input data and protect the T&TR solution from absorbing workarounds/complexity 
• Working within a POD with a defined charter

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• 5+ years experience in java development
• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Self-motivated person who is enthusiastic and has proven fast learning capability
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and quick to adapt to changing requirements
• Proactive approach to identifying issues, presenting solutions and options
• Familiar with DevOps concepts and SRE
• Strong problem solving skills with a proven track record of delivery
• Continuous Integration / Build processes

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Kubernetes experience
• Environment, Change and Release Management background
• Software Configuration Management / Branching / Version Control
• Knowledge of Microservices based architecture and patterns.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts and cloud architecture, different types of cloud computing (preferably GCP).
• Knowledge of DevOps concepts & tools like GitHub/Jenkins, Jira, Confluence.
• Experience using the following technologies: git, Jira
• Understanding of Google SRE practices and concepts  
• Regulatory Reporting experience
• Investment Banking experience
