Job Description
Technical Leadership
• Define, contribute to and evolve the architecture for Java micro‑services, APIs and event‑driven systems.
• Champion clean code, SOLID principles, TDD/BDD and domain‑driven design.
• Conduct design reviews, code reviews and technical spikes.
Delivery Management
• Own end‑to‑end delivery of features, ensuring sprint commitments, quality gates and release timelines.
• Work with Product Owner to translate business needs into technical backlog items.
DevOps & Cloud
• Design CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo CD) for automated build, test and deployment.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code (Terraform/Helm) for provisioning of Kubernetes clusters
Security
• Embed security controls throughout the SDLC (static code analysis, SAST/DAST, , secrets management).
• Follow the pod security policies, network policies for Kubernetes.
Team Enablement
• Mentor junior and mid‑level engineers; organize knowledge‑sharing sessions, brown‑bag sessions etc..
• Foster an agile, collaborative culture and drive continuous improvement ( retrospectives, value‑stream mapping).
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with Program Managers, Architecture, Data, Product, Operations and Security groups to align on road‑maps and technical standards.
• Communicate technical decisions and risks to senior management in clear, non‑technical language.
• Participate in the global governance and steerco meeting to represent the technical delivery team
Innovation & Excellence
• Lead performance‑tuning initiatives
• Extensive usage of AI Tools to enhance team productivity in the SDLC lifecycle
Contributing Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and design reviews for complex enhancements and fixes.
- Review and approve solution designs, API and microservices interaction patterns.
- Improve estimation accuracy and delivery predictability through data-driven insights.
- Support continuous improvement of Agile practices and team ways of working.
- Encourage a culture of learning, ownership, and accountability within the team.
- Support audits, compliance checks, and document updates when required.
- Contribute to long-term architectural evolution discussions for the application ecosystem.
