Job Description
- Design, build, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure supporting business-critical applications.
- Deploy and manage applications across AWS and on-premises Kubernetes environments.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
- Develop, optimize, and support GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployment, testing, and release processes.
- Configure and manage AWS services including Route 53, Application Load Balancers (ALB), networking, security, and platform integrations.
- Design and maintain secure connectivity between AWS services, Kong Gateway, and on-premises Kubernetes platforms.
- Support application onboarding, deployment, upgrades, and operational readiness across hybrid cloud environments.
- Implement and maintain observability solutions, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance tracking.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, networking, and application issues across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and implement reliable deployment solutions.
- Act as an escalation point for user-reported issues and work closely with users, developers, and platform teams to resolve problems effectively.
- Manage and maintain shared DevOps platforms including GitLab, Nexus, Vault, Harbor, Jenkins, Digital.ai, and other engineering tools.
- Perform regular platform patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management activities.
- Evaluate, learn, and deploy new tools and technologies that support platform engineering and software delivery objectives.
- Create and maintain documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks to support day-to-day operations and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to improving platform reliability, security, automation, and operational efficiency.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Strong experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes platforms in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including networking, load balancing, DNS, security, and application hosting.
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Experience using Ansible for configuration management, automation, and platform provisioning.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments that span both AWS and on-premises infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of observability practices, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance analysis.
- Experience with API gateways, ingress technologies such as Kong Gateway.
- Good understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, routing, load balancing, TLS certificates, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience managing and supporting DevOps tools such as GitLab, Nexus, Harbor, Vault, Jenkins, and similar platforms.
- Experience performing platform upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across infrastructure, platform, and application layers.
- Ability to understand end-to-end application architecture and support services throughout the application lifecycle.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with users, developers, architects, and operations teams.
- Ability to document solutions, operational procedures, and technical designs clearly.
