Strong Java expertise (Java 11 and Java 21)
Solid understanding of dependency upgrades, compatibility issues, and framework transitions
Strong understanding of Murex architecture and Java integration patterns
Experience with Murex APIs, data models and workflows
Strong SQL and database troubleshooting capability
Linux/Unix production support skills
Strong troubleshooting across distributed systems and complex estates

Good to Have Skills

Familiarity with Java 21 capabilities such as virtual threads, structured concurrency, pattern matching, and sequenced collections
Familiarity with Murex Java-facing integration points including MDRS, MDCS, XSD-driven APIs, MXML Exchange adapters, and workflow/market data plugins
Experience in multi-environment estates (dev, UAT, prod, CI/CD)
Knowledge of REST, messaging and batch-based integrations
Exposure to SONAR, Unit and Integration testing

Responsibilities

Own L3 support for Murex-integrated Java services (e.g. PhoenixService, DataService, MarketDataService, TradeService)
Troubleshoot complex production issues across Murex core, APIs, and Java services
Deliver fixes and enhancements across Murex integration layers
Support remediation and stabilisation activities across Murex-related services
Work closely with Murex functional teams and upstream/downstream systems
Analyse and improve batch processing, data flows, and service performance
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability
Support releases and integration validation across environments
