Jr. Quality Assurance Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance (internships or training experience also considered)
• Basic understanding of software QA methodologies, testing processes, and best practices
• Hands-on experience with manual testing; exposure to automation tools is a plus
• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
• Basic knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Understanding of web applications, APIs, and client-server architecture
• Strong attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Willingness to learn new tools and technologies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ACTIVITIES

• Review business and technical requirements with guidance and provide basic feedback or clarifications
• Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Support the development and execution of automated tests using open-source tools (as per team standards)
• Execute test cases, identify bugs, document results, and assist in verifying fixes through retesting and regression testing
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to ensure product quality
• Help in managing and prioritizing testing tasks under the guidance of senior team members
• Participate in continuous learning and contribute to improving QA processes and testing practices
• Maintain clear and organized test documentation and reports
  • Support senior QA engineers and actively learn best practices in software testing
