Job Description
Requirements:
- Minimum 6+ years of Admin experience in OpenShift Administration.
- Strong foundation in ITIL Service Management with exposure to Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Proficient in Containers and Orchestrations such as Docker, Kubernetes (K8s), Rancher, Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management.
- Manage Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes clusters such versions 3.x and 4.x including installation, upgrades and maintenance using both manual and automated approaches.
- Experience in migrating and transitioning Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure.
- Maintaining and developing Docker images/containers for various technology stacks, setting up and managing Docker private repositories, and creating Docker files to build custom Docker images.
- Building and configuring Kubernetes-based infrastructure, including core components like DNS, Kube Proxy, and Ingress and leveraging Kubernetes for deploying services.
- Proficient in Linux systems with extensive experience in scripting for automation
- Talented in automation and configuration management frameworks like Ansible
- Holds the ability to automate the build of containerized systems using CI/CD tools, Helm charts, and more.
- Managing deployments and rollbacks of applications.
- Expertise in OCP project onboarding, authentication, role, role bindings, and certificate installation.
- Skilled in Red Hat OpenShift performance tuning and Proficient in OpenShift capacity and availability management.
- Experience in migrating OpenShift Container Platform from lower versions to higher versions.
- Strong skills in OpenShift security management.
- Experience with Azure Cloud will be an added advantage.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track the performance and health of OpenShift clusters and applications.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and availability.
- Planning and implementing disaster recovery solutions.
- Enforcing security and compliance policies within the OpenShift environment.
- Configure and manage network policies and services within OpenShift.
- Allocate and manage resources such as CPU, memory and storage.
- Integrate OpenShift with other tools and platforms like ServiceNow and Elasticsearch for monitoring and alerting.
- Handle incidents related to high memory utilization and node down alerts, and categorizing incidents based on their severity.
- Create and maintain KB articles, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately reflect the current state of the OpenShift environment.
- Relevant Certification on OpenShift Administration.
