Job Description
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:
- Design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and other IaaS platforms.
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms such as Rancher, OKE, GKE, and EKS.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Ansible.
- Write and maintain scripts/tools in Go and Python (preferred but not required).
- Deploy and manage environments on bare metal, virtual machines, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Experience with SpectroCloud is a plus.
- Collaborate on architectural design related to capacity planning, performance optimization, data center rollouts, and consolidation initiatives.
To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
- Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and ArgoCD – all four are must-haves.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and IaC best practices.
- Experience managing infrastructure in at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
- Proficiency with configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience working with Change and Incident Management tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make informed decisions on complex issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and address a wide range of challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with globally distributed teams.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and influencing decisions across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure or related roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
- Certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, VCP, AWS, GCP, and OCI are a strong plus.
