Lead DevOps Engineer - Server Team

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Design, deploy, and support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and other IaaS platforms.
• Manage and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms such as Rancher, OKE, GKE, and EKS.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Jenkins, ArgoCD, and Ansible.
• Write and maintain scripts/tools in Go and Python (preferred but not required).
• Deploy and manage environments on bare metal, virtual machines, and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Experience with SpectroCloud is a plus.
• Collaborate on architectural design related to capacity planning, performance optimization, data center rollouts, and consolidation initiatives.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, and ArgoCD – all four are must-haves.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and IaC best practices.
• Experience managing infrastructure in at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
• Proficiency with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and experience working with Change and Incident Management tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make informed decisions on complex issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and address a wide range of challenges.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with globally distributed teams.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and influencing decisions across departments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in cloud infrastructure or related roles.
• Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
• Certifications such as ITIL, MCSE, VCP, AWS, GCP, and OCI are a strong plus.
