Job Description
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives to develop infrastructure to provide solutions for business applications
- Participate in various projects intended to continually improve or upgrade the infrastructure
- Evaluate internal and external software solutions which could be leveraged to meet target state architecture goals
- Review and analyze high impact outages to ensure the proper processes and procedures are in place to avoid problems in the future
- Design, build, deploy and maintain infrastructure solutions through collaborative efforts with the team and third party vendors
- Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices
- Make decisions in technical designs, implementation plans and identify project risks and resource requirements
- Direct the daily risk and control flow of operations, focusing on policies, procedures and work standards to ensure success
- Recommend courses of action to maintain cost effectiveness and achieve results
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with customer and vendor
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in design, development, and implementation of Splunk architecture and solutions for large scale on-prem/SAAS environments
- Proven expertise in leading large-scale Splunk SaaS migrations.
- Proficiency with Cribl Stream, Cribl Edge, or equivalent data pipeline tools.
- Ability to configure and manage Cribl for advanced data transformation, filtering, enrichment, and routing.
- Develop complex dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to business and operational needs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.
- 3+ years of strong automation experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.) for automation and API integration.
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking concepts.
- Worked on a large Splunk infrastructure, including clustered environments, multi-site deployments, and cloud/SAAS deployment.
- Exposure to containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Certifications in Splunk, Cribl, or cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
Job Expectations:
- Serve as the technical lead for large-scale Splunk SaaS migrations, overseeing planning, execution, and post-migration optimization.
- Develop complex dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to business and operational needs.
- Develop migration strategies, including data ingestion, configuration, and app compatibility assessments.
- Design data pipelines to optimize Splunk ingestion, reduce licensing costs, and improve system performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks in ingestion, indexing, and search processes.
