Senior Platform and Security Engineer

Deep working knowledge of AWS and cloud architecture, with hands-on experience across services such as ECS, RDS, SQS, IAM, API Gateway, and Lambda, sufficient to design target-state infrastructure and evaluate another team's implementation

Experience designing and reviewing CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and safe deployment practices such as staged rollouts and rollback

Experience building and running containerized applications with Docker in a managed orchestration environment such as ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes

Strong backend engineering skills, including the ability to make and defend security decisions at the code level

Demonstrated experience maturing PostgreSQL practices, including data modeling, roles, permissions, performance, and recovery

Practical experience designing and enforcing access control and identity management across systems

Experience partnering with security teams to reduce attack surface in production systems

Experience with Terraform or another Infrastructure as Code tool

Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

The judgment to make decisions independently and the instinct to consult the team before doing so
