Manual Tester

Responsibilities:

   While working in this exciting and challenging role alongside the team of experts:

·      Execute comprehensive manual testing for complex backend and travel booking systems

·      Perform API testing of services supporting search, pricing, booking, and post-booking flows

·      Analyze and validate complex travel business scenarios, including pricing rules, cancellations, and multi-vendor logic

·      Validate multi-step, cross-service backend flows (search to pricing to booking to post-booking)

·      Design, maintain, and execute detailed manual test cases for complex configurations and edge cases

·      Configure and maintain test environments that simulate real-world travel scenarios

·      Investigate failures using backend logs, request and response payloads, and request tracing

·      Identify defects, clearly document findings, and collaborate closely with development and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle

·      You will be very hands on analysing requirements, designing and executing test scripts

·      You will take a pride in making sure all the objectives of quality assurance are achieved before delivering the product.

·      You will promote the continuous improvement though various ways such as identifying and improvising scope of automation, sharing your skills and techniques with other team members.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Software Quality Assurance.

·      Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, including composing requests and validating complex JSON responses

·      Experience working with API testing tools such as Postman, including collections, environments, and variables

·      Experience analyzing backend logs and request traces to investigate system behavior and failures

·      Solid understanding of HTTP fundamentals, including methods, status codes, headers, and authentication

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in understanding complex business logic and multi-step flows

·      Experience working with SQL and writing queries to validate data consistency.

·      Strong motivation, ownership, and willingness to invest time and effort in challenging and high-volume work

·      Experience working with Swagger / OpenAPI – reading and understanding API specifications

·      Experience working with JSON – request and response payload analysis and validation

·      Backend logging tools – log analysis and request tracing (e.g. application logs, correlation IDs)

·      Experience working with SQL – basic to intermediate queries for data validation (SELECT, JOIN)

·      Defect tracking tools – Azure DevOps or similar systems

·      Excellent understanding of various testing types such as Smoke, Sanity, Regression etc.

·      Well versed with all phases of SDLC and STLC.

·      Well acquainted with Agile way of working and onsite-offshore model.

·      Hands on experience in test/project management tools such as Azure DevOps.

·      Any exposure of automation testing using Selenium would be beneficial
