Platform Engineer

To be successful as a Platform Engineer you should possess:

• Proficiency in cloud technologies – AWS, Kubernetes, Docker. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.

• Ability to work with AWS service APIs, AWS CLI, and SDKs to build and manage cloud-native platforms.

• Hands-on experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Maven.

• Solid understanding of container orchestration and modern platform engineering practices.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef or Ansible. Strong scripting and automation skills (preferred: Python / Bash / Go)

• Knowledge of Helm charts and GitOps-based deployment models. Exposure to observability and monitoring tools such as ESaaS, Observe, Grafana etc.
