Platform Engineering Lead

What the day will look like

As a Platform Engineering Lead you will be responsible for leading team of exceptional Platform Engineers designing and building Aon’s new gen Platform product.

• Lead and manage the Platform Engineering Team, including recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Design and oversee the development of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using [AWS/Azure/GCP].
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects to align the platform's architecture with company objectives.
• Establish best practices for infrastructure as code (IAC) implementation and automation.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment.
• Ensure robust security practices, including access controls, encryption, and compliance.
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with DevOps and software engineering teams to integrate infrastructure seamlessly.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement through regular assessments and tech stack updates.
• Provide technical leadership in system design, development, and deployment strategies.
• Act as a technical point of contact for cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Provide guidance to client support / IT teams in establishing best practices for supporting RPC Tyche applications and field support queries from those teams.
