Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to lead our DevOps initiatives, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our high-value transactional systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, stakeholder management, and leadership in a multi-vendor enterprise and regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and observability tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence & Reliability

-Provide on-call support and respond to critical incidents, ensuring high system availability and reliability.

-Analyze issues quickly and drive problem resolution with minimal downtime.

-Own and manage incident response and escalation management for devops related incidents

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

Collaborate with various stakeholders, including:

-Service Reliability & Transition teams to ensure seamless deployments.

-CloudOps & Observability teams for monitoring and performance optimization.

-SecOps teams to enhance security and compliance.

-Engineering teams to drive DevOps best practices.

-GlobalLogic stakeholders to align DevOps strategies with business goals.

Work effectively in a multi-vendor enterprise environment, ensuring seamless integration and communication.

Technical Leadership & Development:

-Guide and mentor DevOps engineers, providing training support.

-Define and drive work division and prioritization to optimize team performance.

-Develop and improve automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

Technical Expertise

Cloud & Infrastructure

-AWS Services: S3, Lambda, Glue, CloudWatch, IAM, SecretsManager, AWS Transfer Family, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy.

-AWS Landing Zone, Control Tower, Networking, Security.

-Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, YAML.

CI/CD & Observability

-GitHub & GitHub Actions.

-NewRelic for monitoring and observability.

-Jenkins, Rancher, CircleCI, TeamCity, Octopus Deploy.

Containerization & Orchestration

-Kubernetes (K8s), EKS, RDS, Redis.

Security & Networking

-VPN, RDP.

-Security compliance and best practices in a regulated environment.

Messaging & Version Control

-BitBucket, Kafka for distributed event streaming.

Qualifications & Experience

-10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.

-Proven experience in supporting critical, high-value transactional systems.

-Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and infrastructure.

-Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, and observability platforms.

-Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

-Experience in multi-vendor enterprise environments and regulated industries.
