Engineer 2

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot.
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs following enterprise integration standards.
• Build and support event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Implement reusable frameworks, libraries, and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on application modernization initiatives.

DevOps & Automation
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps. 
• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.
• Participate in application deployment activities across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.

Cloud & Platform Operations
• Support cloud-native applications hosted on AWS, Azure, or GCP platforms.
• Work with container orchestration platforms and service mesh technologies.
• Monitor platform health, application performance, and deployment success metrics.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, middleware, security, and application teams to resolve platform issues.

Production Support & Reliability
• Provide L2/L3 production support, troubleshoot application and Kafka issues, perform RCA and corrective actions, monitor system health, and drive initiatives that improve reliability, stability, and operational excellence.

Collaboration & Governance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integration solutions, support Agile practices, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Required Technical Skills
• Programming & Frameworks: Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA Hibernate, REST APIs, Microservices Architecture, 
• Messaging & Integration, Apache Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka Producers & Consumers, Schema Management (Avro/JSON), 
• DevOps & CI/CD Jenkins, GitHub / GitLab / Azure DevOps, Maven / Gradle, CI/CD Pipeline Development Release Management
• Containerization & Cloud Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS / Azure / GCP
• Databases SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake (Preferred)
• Monitoring & Observability Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Dynatrace, Splunk (Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Experience with ArgoCD/GitOps, messaging technologies (IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, JMS), and hybrid cloud integration environments. 
• Familiarity with retail or supply chain domains, security scanning tools, and modernization initiatives involving Kafka, Spring Boot, and Java platforms.
