Job Description

Quickly builds a working knowledge of company’s core business, opportunities, and key stakeholders

Understands project requirements. Validates user stories based on business requirements

Translates requirements into test cases. Partner with development team to understand the design
-
Performs QA testing to validate the deliverables meet the business requirements, user stories, and solution design
-
Conducts in-sprint Test Design, Test planning, Test automation development, and Test execution.

Provides constructive and professional feedback for continuous improvement
-
Tracks progress against timeline, milestones, and budget, revise as needed. Communicates project status by providing updates to peers and leadership as required.

Facilitates project team meetings

Contributes to improvements in unit testing coverage, design test framework, develop test suites, expand automated testing harness and automate scenarios/cases.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent
Qualifications
-
2-5 years of software testing and quality assurance (QA) experience

Deep proficiency in standard applications such as Jira, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project
-
Familiarity with Data warehouse testing, writing and executing basic SQL queries, UI Testing, Web-technologies
-
Ability to think critically and analytically to identify all possible test cases (positive, negative, performance, volume, back-end DB, etc.)

Capability and willingness to be a hands-on project team member where needed; displaying leadership through example

Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile and Waterfall processes.

Ability to understand technical concepts and apply them logically to business needs
