Job Description
- Review and analyse system specifications, requirements, and design documents.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on functional requirements.
- Identify test scenarios and create test data for various testing phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application functionalities and workflows.
- Execute manual test cases, report defects, and ensure thorough documentation of test results.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, usability, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Validate new features, bug fixes, and enhancements against requirements and user expectations.
- Ensure that the software meets the agreed-upon standards and criteria before release.
- Document and report defects clearly and concisely using [Insert Defect Tracking Tool, e. g., JIRA].
- Work closely with developers to reproduce, prioritise, and resolve issues.
- Retest fixed defects and ensure proper closure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Provide timely feedback to developers on identified defects and quality concerns.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other agile ceremonies.
- Maintain and update test case repositories and testing documentation.
- Prepare testing reports and metrics for stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the QA process by identifying areas for improvement.
