Quality Assurance Lead

Key Responsibilities

1. QA Strategy & Leadership

• Own and drive the overall QA strategy across projects
• Lead, mentor, and manage QA engineers
• Establish testing standards, best practices, and review processes
• Foster a culture of quality ownership across teams

2. Test Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks
• Use tools like Selenium, Playwright, Pytest, or TestNG
• Improve automation coverage and optimize test execution

3. API & Backend Testing

• Design and execute API testing strategies
• Validate backend systems for reliability and data integrity
• Work with tools like Postman and Rest Assured

4. ETL & Data Validation

• Validate end-to-end data pipelines and ETL processes
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and transformation logic
• Perform data validation using SQL

5. Test Planning & Execution

• Own test planning, test case design, and execution
• Maintain traceability across releases
• Perform risk-based and exploratory testing

6. Performance & Reliability Testing

• Drive performance testing using tools like JMeter or k6
• Identify bottlenecks and ensure system scalability

7. CI/CD & Cross-Team Collaboration

• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams
• Promote shift-left testing practices

8. Defect Management & Reporting

• Identify, log, and track defects effectively
• Define and monitor quality metrics (defect density, coverage, automation rate)
• Communicate risks and quality insights to stakeholders

9. AI-Driven QA & Innovation

• Explore and implement AI-driven testing approaches
• Work with modern tools like Playwright with MCP or similar frameworks
• Continuously improve QA processes using emerging technologies

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in QA, with leadership exposure
• Strong hands-on experience in manual and automation testing
• Experience with Selenium / Playwright
• Experience in API testing (Postman, Rest Assured)
• Good understanding of ETL testing and data validation
• Strong SQL and database testing knowledge
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
