Senior Consultant Specialist

In this role, you will:

• Play the role of individual contributor as Senior ETL developer involved to create a reporting database which is a trusted source of Post Trade data from which to produce normalised, cross product MI
• Reduce the risk associated with current MI production by ensuring data integrity and traceability and removing the need for manual enrichment where possible.
• Contributing to Production Support / Stability / maintenance as required / rotational basis / as per DevOps model. 
• Contribute to design and strategy in ETL builds.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Data Modeling and Design: Design and develop the structure of data warehouses, including defining dimensions, facts, and relationships between data elements. 
• ETL Process Development: Create, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into the data warehouse or target systems. 
• Data Quality and Integrity: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness by implementing data validation rules, cleansing procedures, and monitoring data quality metrics. 
• Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in ETL processes and data warehouse systems, optimizing query execution and data loading times. 
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other developers to understand requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless data integration. 
• Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor junior developers, sharing best practices, providing technical guidance, and fostering a collaborative team environment. 
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on ETL projects, guiding the team on architectural decisions, technology choices, and development standards. 
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex data-related issues, including data inconsistencies, performance problems, and system errors. 
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for ETL processes, data models, and system configurations. 

Non-technical / General:

• Previous experience in Banking and Finance domain
• Experience in agile delivery mechanism.
• Any DevOps tooling experience, CI/CD pipeline, automation would be an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills - experience of interfacing with IT Lead/Delivery Manager, Architect, business Product Owners and IT offshore teams
