Job Description
- Comprehend the existing Data Analytics Architecture and environment of Jet2, build solid understanding of existing data pipelines, Storage and Reporting mechanism
- Design and develop scalable solutions to store and retrieve high volume of data on cloud; Understand business requirements from technical perspective to design and create conceptual, logical workflows in Snowflake
- Build and maintain curated data objects, transformations, metrics, and business logic to support reporting and dashboards in tools like Tableau and Power BI, ensuring consistency and usability for stakeholders. Note that Tableau and power BI knowledge is not mandatory
- Optimize query performance and warehouse usage within Snowflake, while implementing data quality checks, testing, and documentation to ensure reliable and trustworthy analytics outputs
- Work on migrating data in RDBMS (SQL Server Based) & Datawarehouse to Cloud Datawarehouse or Data Lake (Snowflake)
- Participate and develop Data Models (Conceptual, Logical and Physical models)
- Design and implement scalable data models in Snowflake using SQL and tools like dbt to transform raw data into clean, analytics-ready datasets. DBT is not mandatory but good to have
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure high quality data availability for key data science and analytics projects for Jet2 business
- Ability to use the AI Tooling @Jet2 (Snowflake Cortex Code, GitHub copilot, AWS Kiro etc ) to effectively to deliver faster value to business by rolling out data products to business
- Deliver projects small or big with perfection leading to high customer satisfaction; focus on building reusable code to accelerate development
- Train and mentor junior team members; learn and help support bringing new technologies to the organization to ensure Jet2 is highly competitive in adopting technology innovations
