Senior Data Engineer

Technical / Behavioral

• Experience in building cloud native data and software engineering solutions

• Leadership, technical supervision and expertise in leading complex enterprise-wide solutions

• Expertise and hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins.

• Extensive knowledge in AWS services, Java, Python, REST API, and Kafka.

• Data Management & Data Governance tool stack experience

• Working and functional knowledge of one of the Data Governance/Catalog tools e.g. Collibra, Alation, Data Lineage etc.

• Knowledge and experience of building and managing cloud platforms with Kubernetes (with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement

• Hands on experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment and support.

• Excellent analytical skills to triage and resolve production issues and outages

• Experience with on-call support, resolving incidents and release management practices.

• Strong communication and influencing skills

• Very strong technical capability and passionate about learning new technologies and cloud trends

• Experience and willingness to work in globally distributed agile teams.

• Experience with Snowflake and Data Science & AI ML

• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.

• Knowledge of Logging, Telemetry and Data security on AWS/Azure

The Skills that is good to have for this role

• Certification in public cloud (Azure or AWS)

• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Java, C++, Scala, etc. is preferred
