Senior DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the technical design and development of a new backend system in Azure.
• Drive the migration from BizTalk to a cloud-native architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Ensure the system is designed for automated testing and high reliability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business IT stakeholders, and project leadership in Germany.
• Act as a technical mentor and facilitate knowledge exchange and decision-making within the team.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in C# / .NET development.
• Deep understanding of Azure cloud services and architecture.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Familiarity with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
• Knowledge of Kafka for messaging and event-driven systems.
• CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• API design (REST, gRPC) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.

Collaboration & Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proven experience working with European teams or in European project environments.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to break down high-level technical requirements.
• Comfortable bridging technical and business perspectives.
• Experience working in agile teams and distributed environments. Hands-on experience with collaborative workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Teams

Preferred Experience:

• 8-10 years in software development, with at least 2–3 years in a lead or senior role.
• Experience in system migration or modernization projects.
• Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns.

• Exposure to BizTalk is a plus, but not mandatory.
