Job Description

  • AWS DevOps / Solutions Architect plays a critical role in designing secure, scalable, and cost‑optimized cloud architectures while automating end-to-end application delivery on AWS.

  • You will work closely with engineering, platform, and automation teams to build cloud-native systems, streamline deployments, enforce governance best practices, and accelerate application delivery using modern DevOps toolchains.

  • This role requires a strong blend of architecture design, DevOps engineering, automation, and AWS platform expertise.

  • Architect and optimize solutions using core services:

  • EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, RDS, DynamoDB, ALB/NLB, KMS, Secrets Manager.

  • Implement containerization and orchestration patterns using Docker, ECS/Fargate, or EKS.

  • Set up system monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing, and distributed diagnostics (CloudWatch, X-Ray).

  • Implement secure IAM roles/policies, boundary policies, encryption, and secret rotation.

  • Scripting/Programming: Python for data engineering (unit tests, packaging, logging).

Some other highly valued skills may include: -

  • Design end-to-end AWS architectures for applications, automation platforms, APIs, and containerized workloads.

  • Ensure architectures adhere to AWS Well‑Architected Framework pillars:

  • Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence.

  • Define networking topologies (VPCs, subnets, routing, NAT, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway) for secure and scalable connectivity.

This role is based in Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. 

Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
  • Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
